The Pumpkin Festival - 2010

The Pumpkin Festival at Elgin Christmas Tree Farm is one of the most fun things to do in Bastrop County around Halloween. There are hayrides, face painting, pumpkin painting, a Crazy Maze, kiddie train rides, rubber duck races, antique tractors, animals, live music, and more! And you can’t leave without taking pictures in the pumpkin patch. They also have pumpkins for sale, along with pumpkin baked goods and of course, the famous Elgin sausage. You can build your own lifesize scarecrow for $25 or carve or decorate your own pumpkin in the Pumpkin Decorating Barn.

The Pumpkin Festival takes place the 2nd and 3rd weekends in October, which means this weekend (Oct. 16th-17th) is your last chance to enjoy the fun until next year. The Festival’s hours are Saturday 10:00am-5:30pm and Sunday 12:00pm-5:30pm. Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 2-12, and children under the age of 2 are free.
