Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery

Morning on Main Street by C.M. Henderson

Who knew that Bastrop had an art gallery? Well, we do! In fact, Bastrop County has a thriving community of talented artists, and the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery provides an opportunity for members of the guild to display their many diverse works of art. Exhibitions include emerging, amateur, and professional artists in a variety of mediums. The Gallery displays fine art, including oils and acrylics, watercolors, pastels, photography, charcoal and pencil drawings, glass, porcelain ceramics, pottery, and metal, wood, stone, and bronze sculpture made by local artists. The exhibition space was generously provided by Greg Warner and Patty Green and was originally provided by Greg’s mother, Mary Voss.

The Bastrop Fine Arts Guild is a501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of local artists and art enthusiasts in Bastrop and surrounding areas. It is “an association of artists which was formed for the mutual aid and promotion of artists in this community, and to encourage cultural interest in and appreciation of fine art.” They just held their Annual Art on the Green event at the Bastrop County Courthouse, and they’re gearing up for the Festival of Trees. They also host a monthly “First Friday” artist reception from 6pm-8pm the first Friday of every month.

Support the arts! Visit the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery in historic downtown Bastrop at 1009 Main Street. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday 11:00am-4:00pm. For more information, visit or call (512) 321-8055.
