Downtown Bastrop Halloween Fest - 2010

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and Bastrop really knows how to celebrate it right! Halloween Fest in historic downtown Bastrop is definitely the place to be on Halloween. It is a fun, family-friendly event that is recognized as one of the top Halloween Festivals in the country. Presented by the Downtown Business Alliance, Halloween Fest is a joint effort between businesses, local non-profit organizations, and great volunteers. Here’s a few of the fun activities that await you at Halloween Fest:
  • Trick-or-Treating
  • Pumpkin Decorating Contest
  • Interactive Game Booths
  • Costume Contests
  • Lip Sync Contest
  • Live Wax Museum
  • Giant Slide
  • Bounce House
  • Fire Department Hay Rides
  • “Need for Speed” Haunted House

The 5th Annual Halloween Fest will be held on Halloween–Sunday, Oct. 31st from 5pm-9pm in downtown Bastrop. Admission is FREE!!! 1. Can't find any information on the pumpkin carving contest on the city's event website. Trying to confirm if they are doing one this year and what the entry deadline is.
