The Grace Miller

I always have a good time at the Grace Miller, or Gracie’s, as it’s known by the locals. Gracie’s has excellent food and a fun, cozy, and inviting atmosphere. You can’t help but feel at home at Gracie’s! And they usually have live music on the covered deck, or “Gracie’s Backyard Patio” as it’s sometimes called. Even on a Sunday afternoon, when my family and I went to eat at Gracie’s after church, there was a talented gentleman singing country and gospel.

The Grace Miller Restaurant opened its doors in April 2006. Since that time they have won 27 awards in the “Best of Bastrop County” ranging from Best Chicken Fried Steak, Best Caterer, Best Seafood, Best Home Cooking, and many more awards in between. Gracie’s is locally owned and operated by Brenda Bush and is famous for its chicken fried steak. So come on down, grab a glass of tea, and relax at one of Bastrop’s hidden treasures.

Gracie’s is located at 706 Pine Street, just off Main Street in the heart of historic downtown Bastrop. Hours of Operation are Monday-Thursday 11am-9pm, Friday-Saturday 11am-10pm, and Sunday 11am-4pm. For more information, including their full menu and daily lunch specials, visit http://www.thegracemiller.com/.
