The Sugar Shack

I used to drive by The Sugar Shack and wish I had a reason to stop in and shop. I always wondered what delectable treasures were waiting for me inside. It’s just one of those charming little stores that causes your imagination to dream of gummy bears, lollipops, and a chocolate covered candyland. One day, I needed a gift for my niece’s 8th birthday, so I decided to finally discover what magic awaited me at The Sugar Shack. Inside, there are rows of gifts and candy, lollipops and jellybeans of every flavor, ice cream, gift baskets, greeting cards, and chocolate covered strawberries. Actually, you can get almost anything covered in chocolate… ice cream bars, strawberries, even rice krispy treats. Heck, they even have chocolate covered chocolate!

Besides candy and chocolate (and ice cream, fudge, pies, and cake), they sell all kinds of gifts, including Yankee candles, picture frames, coasters, wind chimes, coffee mugs, jams and jellies, soaps, jewelry, toys and stuffed animals, Texas gifts, and much more. They also have a selection of wedding favors and baby shower gifts.

If you’re looking for a blast from the past, they have a varied assortment of candies from almost any decade. If they don’t have it, just ask, and they’ll find it for you. I would name all of the candies they have, but all this talk of sweets is making me hungry! So, just take the time to see for yourself. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee or a fresh milkshake on their back deck, which has free Wi-Fi.

The Sugar Shack is located at 114 Loop 150 West. They are open 7 days a week, Monday-Saturday 10am-9pm, and noon-5pm on Sunday. For more information, click here.
