Chestnut Square

What would we do without Chestnut Square? Movies, bowling, mini-golf, a video game arcade, the 13th Strike sports bar and grill… Chestnut Square has it all!

There are 4 movie screens and a full snack bar with popcorn, candy, nachos, pretzels, pizza, and more. If you’re a bowler, you can pay per game or per hour, and they offer bowling packages and bowling leagues. Shankz, the 18-hole black light mini-golf course, is one of the coolest indoor mini-golf courses I’ve seen. It’s only $5.00 per person, and during the summer, you can get 50% off with your same-day movie ticket stub. There are lots of games in the arcade, including my personal favorite–air hockey. Chestnut Square also hosts birthday parties.

The 13th Strike (located inside Chestnut Square) is a sports bar and grill with 10 TV’s, 2 huge 10-ft projection screens, 3 pool tables, 6 dart boards (although you have to bring your own darts), food, and a full bar. They have dart leagues, Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments, pub trivia, karaoke, and live music.

Chestnut Square is open Monday-Thursday from 2pm-midnight and Friday-Sunday noon-midnight. It’s located at 1600 Chestnut Street, just off of Loop 150. For more information, including movie times, visit

Update: Chestnut Square Entertainment Center closed and is now Schulman's Lost Pines 8 Movie Theater.
