  • Moonlight Hike, 8:30-9:30pm, Bastrop State Park. Find out what it is like to be a creature of the night. Join a naturalist to call for owls, watch for bats, listen for toads and experience the park's trails after dark. Wear walking shoes and bring water, insect repellent and a flashlight for this mile-long hike. Meet at the kiosk by the playground. Not recommended for children under the age of six. FREE after park entry fees.

Featuring live Tejano and Mariachi music with performances by Mary Welch and Mitch Webb and the Swindles. There will also be two performances by El Asociacion de Charros y Escaramuza El Rosaio (Mexico’s most traditional horse riding sport), ballet folklórico, a live and silent auction, a 15-ft. donkey piñata, activities for the kids including face painting, craft tables, moonwalks, chihuahua races, a dunking booth, and more! Admission is $10/adult, and kids 13 and under are FREE.

  • Rockne Relayers Fried Fish Supper and Live Auction to raise funds for Relay for Life Bastrop/Smithville. Plates cost $7 each and include fried fish, french fries, beans, and cole slaw. Eat there or take a plate to go, starting at 5pm. Live auction begins at 7:30pm at Leon's Country Store in Rockne. After the auction, stick around for live music by Chris Allbright!   • Potluck Hoe-Down, starting at 6pm at Back Forty Chiropractic, located at 551 Herron Trail between Hwy 95 & Hwy 290 off of FM 2336. Directions: turn onto Oak Hill Cemetery Road, turn left onto Herron Trail, go 0.8 miles and arrive at 551 Herron Trail on the left. Park and go behind the cedar cabin to the Back Porch stage. Live music, Back Forty BioMat treatments, and Meet 'n' Greet with Dr. Ronald Lundrigan, running for Constable Precinct #4. BYOB and chair, instrument, side dish, and of course those dancin' shoes!
  • Jazz in Bastrop featuring grammy winning guitarist Eric Johnson, 6:30-10pm on the patio at the Lakeside Professional Building, located at 3101 Hwy 71 East in Bastrop. Other artists include: Rick McRae (lead guitar for George Strait), Paul Glasse, Alex Coke, Liz Morphis, Hailey Tuck (Joe Grady Tuck’s daughter), Bastrop’s own Grace Garne, and more! Tickets are $50 each and include dinner.   • Pettytown Homecoming & Picnic, mid-morning through mid-afternoon, with lunch at 12:30 pm. For descendants and families of those buried at the Pettytown Cemetery. Directions from Bastrop: take Hwy 71 west, turn left on Hwy 20, go into Red Rock, turn
    behind the U.S. Post Office which heads south, go approx. 4 miles, and turn left at the
    metal gate.
  • Music on the Porch featuring the Larry Wilson Band, 5-7pm at Art Connections Gallery, located at 705F Pine Street in downtown Bastrop. $10 per person at the door.
