First Friday Art Walk 5-4-12

If you haven't checked out Bastrop's art scene, you are missing out! Bastrop County has a thriving community of very talented artists, whose work is not only appreciated locally, but around the world... mosaics by Aly Winningham are displayed Whole Foods Market and the Domain in Austin and La Cantera in San Antonio, a sculpture by Bill McGlaun is featured in the Vatican in Rome, and works by various artists at Deep in the Heart Art Foundry are displayed all over the world, including a sculpture by David Phelps, which will be making it's way to Canada this month and life-size Fathom sculptures by Clay Long that debuted at Comic-Con in San Diego and New York.

First Friday is a monthly celebration of Bastrop's art scene, on the first Friday of every month, which means the next one is TONIGHT, Friday, May 4th in downtown Bastrop!!! Enjoy a reception for the featured artist of the month, Jeanette Condray, at the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery, located at 1009 Main Street, from 6-8pm.
