Tubing in Bastrop

Starting Saturday, May 19th, you can now go tubing on the Colorado River in Bastrop!!! Bastrop River Company offers a first rate experience on the Colorado River. They rent kayaks, canoes, and now TUBES! Plus, they have a shuttle service included with your rental.

How it works:
  • Check-in at Bastrop River Company (601 Chestnut Street, located in the Crossing)
  • Receive wristbands for everyone in your party
  • Shuttle bus transports you to Bob Bryant Park (put-in point)
  • Float back to Fisherman's Park boat ramp (tube return is at the park, so you don't have to walk back to BRC)

Parking recommendations (there is limited parking in the Crossing): Fisherman's Park, Bastrop Library, Main Street, Wells Fargo

Cost: $10 for tube and shuttle, $10 for cooler tube
Hours: 10:00am - 5:00pm
Dates: May 19th - 20th, 26th - 28th, and 7 days a week starting on June 2nd
P.S. Yes, you can drink alcohol on the Colorado River, but litterbugs will be punished!!! Cans and plastic bottles are okay, no glass bottles please.

  1. If you want your pup to have a day of fun too, let All Things Dog give him a day of play. Located near Colorado River Refuge. Drop off or I'll pick-up in Bastrop.

  2. Safe and fun for kids? Do you know if they have kid tubes?

    1. I'll have to check to see if they have kid's tubes. I'm pretty sure it's safe and fun for kids, though. The Colorado River in Bastrop is mild and doesn't have any major rapids. Of course, it depends on the child's age, how well they swim, and how comfortable they are in the water. And, of course, if they can't swim very well, they should always wear a lifejacket.

  3. How is the water level? Are there any rapids?

  4. Called to ask about prices very rude about it saying you can get all info online but I was driving then I told owner we just needed cooler tube he said they don't rent out just cooler tubes and if we used his dock we would be criminal trespassing wow I'll take my business elsewhere
