Friday, May 11th
  • Beyond The Lights Celebrity Golf Classic at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa's Wolfdancer Golf Club. Actors from "Friday Night Lights" and a host of entertainment and sports celebrities, coaches, and pro athletes join in on the fun for a great day of golf and an amazing evening event with live and silent auctions, cocktails, and rockin' entertainment.   • Mayfest Hill Scholarship Rodeo, 6-11pm at Mayfest Hill, located at 801 Legion Drive/Loop 150 East in Bastrop. Gates open at 6pm. Rodeo begins at 7:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for ages 6-12, and ages 5 and under are FREE. Carnival tickets sold separately.

Saturday, May 12th
  • Airport Fly-In and Pancake Breakfast, 9am-12pm at the Smithville-Crawford Municipal Airport (84R, Bastrop County's only airport). FREE pancake and sausage breakfast, Airplane Beauty Contest, Young Eagles Ground School Training at 10am, explore the airport facilities, visit with the pilots, browse the vendors, and more!

  • Brenda's 1441 Bar & Grill 1-Year Anniversary and Fundraiser at Brenda's 1441 Bar & Grill, located at 395 FM 1441 in Bastrop. Dart Contest, Pool Tournament, Washer Tournament, Bikini Bike Wash, Door Prizes, 50-50 Drawing, Poker Run, and more! BBQ dinner 7pm-9pm. Donations are appreciated. Live music by "The Infedels" 8pm-midnight. Proceeds go to Brenda Bush, who lost her home in a fire a few weeks ago. Let's all come out and have a great time while supporting a wonderful woman who does so much for our community!
  • 2nd Annual Mother/Daughter Event at Cherry Blossoms Spa, 11am. There will be craft projects, refreshments, prizes, goody bags, and more. Tickets are $10 per person. All ages welcome!
  • Bastrop Gardens Speaker Series: Beginning or Rebuilding Turf Grasses by guest speaker Mark Beck with A-Z Grass, 11am at Bastrop Gardens Organic Nursery,  located at 316 Old 71 in Cedar Creek. Admission in FREE!
  • Beyond The Lights Poker Tournament at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa, 1-8pm.
  • Cure on the Colorado, 5-9pm at Riverbend Park in Smithville. Hosted by the Friends of the Science Park, proceeds benefit research at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Park in Smithville. Live music from the Marshall Ford Swing Band, food, dancing, exhibits, silent and live auctions, and more! Tickets are $25 at the door. For more info, call (512) 237-9405.
  • Bob Livingston Trio, 7pm at the Arts Cottage at Rock-C Ranch, located at 1620 FM 535 in Smithville. Co-sponsored with KLRU. Dinner by Chef Mike and Visual Art by Tina Broussard. Suggested donation is $25-30. For more info, click here.

  • "The Waiting Room" written by Cleveland McLeish and performed by the Olivet Baptist Players, 7pm at Calvery Baptist Church, located at 3001 Loop 150 East in Bastrop, across from the entrance to Bastrop State Park. Five Strangers: A Muslim, a prostitute, a sinner, a backslider, and a Rastafarian, wake up in a room together. Where are they? What does it mean? Find out at... The Waiting Room!
  • Rainbows for Recovery Fundraiser, 8-11pm at at Comfort Cafe, located at 111 NW 1st Street in Smithville. The show is a live performance and fundraiser for Serenity Star Recovery Resource Center. The evening will include dinner at 8pm, a main event act featuring 'Lil Dru starting at 9pm, and lots of other ententainers between 7pm-midnight. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased at the Comfort Cafe or at Sacs On Main in Smithville. For more info, contact Melissa at (512) 373-0668.

Sunday, May 13th
  • Mother's Day Brunch, 11am-3pm at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort and Spa. Savor delectable dishes such as slow roasted prime rib with horseradish cream or smoked pork loin with Shiner Bock mustard. Accompaniments include traditional favorites and chef-inspired creations. Plus, the dessert display has something to please any sweet tooth. Brunch is $49 for adults, $24 for children ages 4-12 and complimentary for children age 3 and under.
  • Smithville Volunteer Fire Department Annual Fundraiser, 11am at Riverbend Park in Smithville. Lunch plates are $8 each and include Fried Chicken, Sausage and Sides. Live Auction starts at 1pm. Drive Thru/To-Go plates are also available.
  • Country Music Jam, American Legion Post 533, located at 3003 Loop 150 East in Bastrop, 2pm-6pm. Hosted by The Country Side Men. Traditional country and western dance music of yesteryear. If you play or sing, bring your instrument and join the fun! No cover charge, family friendly, smoke free, air conditioned, public welcome. Cold drinks are available.
