  • Do Well Be Well Diabetes Education Program, 5:00-7:30pm at the Bastrop County Courthouse Annex, located at 804 Pecan Street in Bastrop. This is a 5-week diabetes education program that encompasses nutrition, carbohydrate counting, complications, medication, and exercise information. Space is limited. The class is FREE, but registration is required. This class will be held on Mondays from June 18th - July 16th. Friday, June 22nd
  • Jazzercise Free Fridays, 6:00am, 7:50am, 9:00am, 10:30am (lite), 4:30pm and 5:40pm at Bastrop Jazzercise, located at 612 Old Austin Highway. ALL Friday classes at Bastrop Jazzercise are FREE during the month of June! Childcare is available for $1/child at most classes.   • Balderdash! Melodrama, 7:30pm at Playhouse Smithville, located at 110 Main Street in Smithville. Villains abound, heroes alight, heroines aflutter, popcorn is thrown, and boo's are abundant! Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased online here.
  • Western Days Tennis Court Dance, 8pm-midnight at the tennis courts in Elgin Memorial Park. Live music and dance. Admission is FREE!
  • Night Hike, 8:30-9:30pm at Bastrop State Park. Join a naturalist to call for owls, watch for bats, listen for toads, and experience the park's trails after dark. Wear walking shoes and bring water, insect repellent, and a flashlight for this mile-long hike. Meet at the kiosk by the playground. Not recommended for children under the age of six. Free after park entry fees.
  • Stargazing at the Roughs, 9:30-11:00pm at McKinney Roughs Nature Park. The whole family can explore the galaxy together as an astronomer takes you on a tour of the Milky Way that's truly out of this world! For more info, click here.

  • Frog and Toad Watch, 8:30-9:30pm at Bastrop State Park. You will learn how to identify these frogs and toads by sound and sight and then conduct a survey at a nearby pond. Meet at the picnic area by the pool. Free after park entry fees.
