Burning Pine 5K/10K - 2012
Run Your Ash Off!!!
The Burning Pine 5K/10K (and Family 1K) commemorates the one-year anniversary of the devastating 2011 Texas wildfires. The Bastrop YMCA, in collaboration with the Friends of the Lost Pines, will host the inaugural Burning Pine 5K/10K on Sept. 2nd, 2012 in Bastrop State Park.
After the run, there will be an After Party in Mayfest Hill Park, where you can enjoy a cold beer while listening to some great Texas Country Music. It’s an easy and fun way to support the rebuilding of Bastrop! Entry to the Burning Pine After Party is FREE for registered runners, and $10/adult and $5/child (under age 12) for non-runners. This is a family friendly event for all ages! Buy your tickets online or at the gate.
Some of the local musicians slated to play at the After Party include: Tres Womack and the Chubby Knuckle Choir, The Clayton Adams Band, Chris Allbright, Matt Gardner and friends, and Kyle Bennett.
