First Friday 9-7-12


It's that time of the month again - First Friday in downtown Bastrop!!! Just like its name, First Friday happens on the first Friday of every month, and it is one event you do not want to miss. First Friday is about hanging out in historic downtown Bastrop, taking in all that Bastrop has to offer... art, live music, shopping, dining, and most importantly, fun!

Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Artist of the Month Reception
Friday, Sept. 7th, 6-8pm at the Bastrop Fine Arts Guild Gallery, located at 1009 Main Street in downtown Bastrop. There will be drinks and refreshments, and you can meet the Featured Artist of the Month for September, Carol Lyon. She will be sharing her detailed and colorful photographs in an exhibit titled "Bodacious Botanicals." Those purchasing Lyon's work during the reception will receive a 10% discount. Many downtown businesses will be open late for your shopping pleasure, and there will be lots of live music, including Michael Austin playing jazz on the front porch of Art Connections Gallery, and bands at Maxine's on Main and Gracie's.
