Join Our Flock - Volunteers Needed

Bastrop County is booming! A lot of people joke about the name 365 Things to Do in Bastrop, Texas, asking if there are really 365 things to do here. There's that many and a million more! There's so much going on, in fact, that I can't do it all by myself anymore.

*Thank you to my friends Angela Castillo and Cathleen Martin, who have pitched in and written some amazing articles for the blog! You ladies rock!!!*

If you love Bastrop County and have a couple of hours a week to volunteer, we could use someone like you! Here's a description of the volunteer opportunities currently available:

  • Live Music Correspondent- Duties include compiling a weekly list of all the live music going on in Bastrop County. Other opportunities could include taking photos and/or videos at local live music events and interviewing local musicians. Approx. 2-4 hours/week.
  • Calendar Specialist- Duties include entering local events into 365 Bastrop's online calendar. Approx. 2-4 hours/week. *The calendar is currently out-of-date, so the first time you update the calendar, it might take a little longer than usual.
  • Writer/Blogger- Duties include writing (and researching) articles for the 365 Bastrop blog. Approx. 2-4 hours per week.
Although the positions are unpaid, it's a great way to give back to the local community by helping keep everyone informed about local events and supporting and promoting the local musicians and businesses. Other perks might include the chance to meet celebrities and the occasional free meal at staff meetings. ;)

Together, we can do anything! If you're interested in volunteering or have other ideas about how to contribute, please email info@365bastrop.com or call Joleen at (512) 619-8807.
