The Lost Pines Nature Trails are part of a multi-phase project to develop recreational biking and walking trails on a 30-acre tract of land along the Colorado River, located at the end of the El Camino Real Paddling Trail, adjacent to the Colorado River Refuge. The Lost Pines Nature Trails provide multiple opportunities for locals and tourists to enjoy nature, education, and outdoor recreation.
Since June 2014, a group of caring people—the Friends of the Lost Pines Nature Trails—have worked to beautify these trails. When they started, the area had fallen prey to vandals. In order to protect and enhance this Bastrop County jewel, a short-term restoration plan was put in progress to bring the park back to its natural beauty. But to assure long term care and maintenance, they need your input!
They're asking the public to take a short, 5-minute survey to help them develop plans so that everyone can enjoy the Lost Pines Nature Trails. Take the survey here.
