1. "Glengarry Glen Ross" - Jan. 22nd & 23rd at 7:30pm and Jan. 24th at 2:00pm at Playhouse Smithville, located at 110 Main Street in Smithville. A classic tale of greed and betrayal. When an office full of New York City real estate salesmen is given the news that all but the top two will be fired at the end of the week, the atmosphere begins to heat up. Sell, sell, sell - Always Be Closing! Tickets can be purchased online for $10.50/person.

2. Out of the Ashes Guided Hike - Jan. 23rd, 10-11am at Bastrop State Park. Easy guided hike. Free after park entry fees.

3. Civilian Conservation Corps Walking Tour - Jan. 23rd, 10-11am at Buescher State Park. Explore the lives of the men enrolled in the CCC and how their hard work and dedication can still be seen today. Free after park entry fees.

4. Big Chill Adventure Race - Jan. 23rd, 10am-10pm at Lake Bastrop South Shore. In 2-3 person teams, run, bike, paddle, and face team challenges through Bastrop's piney woods.

5. Chili, Stew, Wild Game & Dessert Cook Off - Jan. 23rd, 10am-midnight at Huebels, located at 207 NW 2nd Street in Smithville. Enter the cook off or just hang out while DJ Danny spins some tunes.

6. Visiting the Past, Hiking for the Future - Jan. 23rd, 2-4pm at Bastrop State Park. Enjoy this moderate 3-mile hike to Fehr's Overlook. Free after park entry fees.

7. Homemade Wine Contest - Jan. 23rd, beginning at 6:30pm at Henry's Place, located at 549 Goertz Drive in Rockne/Red Rock. Judging will begin at 7:30pm in two categories: Mustang Grape and Other. $10/entry.

8. Glass Etching - Jan. 23rd, 7-9pm at Back Porch Ceramics, located in the Crossing at 601 Chestnut Street in Bastrop. Join Lindsay Varn as she walks participants through how to etch a glass baking/serving dish. $40/person, includes all supplies. Please RSVP.

9. Sapling Sunday - Jan. 24th, 7:30am-12:00pm at Bastrop State Park. Help plant trees! Pre-registration is required.

10. Yoga! In the Park! - Jan. 24th, 2-3pm in Fisherman's Park, located at 1200 Willow Street in Bastrop (along the Riverwalk in the grass below Neighbor's Kitchen and Yard). Suggested donation of $10-$20.
