Lost Rabbit Collective

Lost Rabbit Collective (LRC), a professional theatrical ensemble and group of artists in Bastrop, TX was founded in late 2016 by Bastrop native and current resident Charlesanne Rabensburg, who serves as Artistic Director.

"The Rabbits," as they affectionately refer to themselves, were born as an artistic cooperative–a home for theatrical performance, multimedia art, film, and educational programs. With the help of two Chicago transplants and long-time producers, Emma Peterson and Natalie DiCristofano (both currently residing in Austin, TX), LRC hopes to start small with live performances to introduce their work; eventually expanding into more direct collaboration within the communities, for the residents in and around Bastrop, TX.

Lost Rabbit's performance vision is to infuse a Chicago storefront style of up-close-and-personal performances with familiar, found, and intimate spaces to create the 'welcome home' vibe of Texas hospitality.

Their inaugural production, "Flaming Guns of the Purple Sage," a dark comedy by Jane Martin, opens on June 30th and runs through July 22nd at the historic 1832 Tavern, located at 809 Main Street in downtown Bastrop.

The performance space was gifted to LRC by Judi and Tommy Hoover, also of Bastrop, with the hope that this fresh and innovative artistic organization will incite growth in Bastrop's budding creative community.
