1. Bastrop Juneteenth **FEATURED EVENT** - June 16th-17th at various locations throughout Bastrop.
  • Annual Banquet - June 16th, 6:30pm at the Hampton Inn, located at 240 Hasler Blvd. in Bastrop
  • Parade - June 17th, 10am in downtown Bastrop
  • Emancipation Proclamation Program - June 17th, 11:30am, Kerr Community Center, located at 1308 Walnut Street in Bastrop
  • Street Dance - June 17th, 7:30pm in downtown Bastrop

 
2. Teen Splash Bash - June 16th, 7:30-9:30pm at Bastrop State Park Pool. Hosted by the Bastrop YMCA, ages 12-14. Enjoy food, drinks, and fun activities at the pool after hours. $10/member; $20/non-member.

3. "Clinically Undepressed" - June 16th & 17th, 7:30pm at Playhouse Smithville, located at 110 Main Street in Smithville. What if you were born unable to feel angry? "Clinically Undepressed," by Will Holcomb, is a play about a young man whose inability to react in anger impacts the lives of everyone he knows. $10/person.

4. "Politically Uncorrect" - June 16th & 17th, 7:30pm and June 18th, 2:30pm at the Bastrop Opera House, located at 711 Spring Street in Bastrop. Enjoy the musical satire of Tom Lehrer, performed by musician and singer, Les Young. $10/person.

5. 10th Annual Blue Flame Cruisers Car Show - June 17th, 8am-3pm at Schulman Theatres Lost Pines 8, located at 1600 Chestnut Street in Bastrop. Showcase your car, truck, or motorcycle for $25/entry. On-site registration is available. Admission is FREE!

6. Public Art Celebration - June 17th, 11am-2pm at the Bastrop Public Library, located at 1100 Church Street in Bastrop. Join Bastrop Art in Public Places (BAIPP) for an award ceremony and the unveiling of new art installations. Public reception 11am-12pm; self-guided tour 12-2pm. Admission is FREE!

7. Art Getaway - June 17th, 11am-6pm at the Lost Pines Art Center, located at Chestnut Street in Bastrop. Classes, demos, kid's crafts, exhibitions, live music, and more! Admission is FREE!

8. Read with a Ranger: "There's No Place Like Space" & Solar Viewing - June 17th, 4-5pm at Bastrop State Park. Join Ranger Kristen on an adventure with The Cat in the Hat while she reads "There's No Place Like Space!" by Dr. Seuss. 9. Movies in the Park: "The Wizard of Oz" - June 17th, 5-10pm at Fisherman's Park in Bastrop. Fun activities before the movie including Smiley the Clown from 6:30-8:30pm. Concessions available. Movie starts at dusk. Bring your own chairs and blankets. Admission is FREE!
